Community Information Exchange (CIE) - Overview
The Community Information Exchange is a secure platform where information can be accessed and used for community purpose. The Community Information Exchange is focused on reducing duplication. Currently community organisations, councils and governments collected and managed their own information. This information can now be accessed through the Community Information Exchange.
CIE Domain Model and Architecture
CIE API Allows to do the following:
Search for the services and listings in the region
Serach for the events in the region
Manage the information about your own organization through the API
Publish Events to CIE using API

How Start (How to generate the API key)
Step 1: Sign Up for the Developer Portal
Step 2: Go to Products section and select the API you are interested in working with.
Step 3: Create a subscription by entering the NAME and clicking the Subscribe button.
Step 4: Get the key from the Subscriptions in the profile and register the KEY in the My Community Directory using the instructions from the API Key Registration Instruction document.
How to Register your API key in MCD Account
Log into My Community Directory member centre
Click API Management on the left navigation bar (if you don’t see this option, please contact our helpdesk team for more information: [email protected]
Click Register API Key and enter your email that you registered on Developer Portal and click Check Subscription
If you already subscribed to products, you could see them by clicking the dropdown list
Select the subscription and enter the subscription key value you get from Developer Portal to prove that you are the owner
Select outlets that you want to register with the key and then click Register. This will affect the request result when you use our APIs
Register successfully and feel free to change the registered outlets or delete the API key registration on this page
